Oxford University Press and the Society of American Foresters (SAF) are pleased to announce their new partnership to publish Journal of Forestry and Forest Science, SAF's prestigious scientific journals.

Forest Science is a peer-reviewed journal publishing fundamental and applied research that explores all aspects of natural and social sciences as they apply to the function and management of the forested ecosystems of the world.

Journal of Forestry, in print since 1902, has received several national awards for excellence. Its mission is to advance the profession of forestry by keeping forest management professionals informed about significant developments and ideas in the many facets of forestry.

SAF's CEO Matt Menashes highlighted the benefits the partnership will bring to readers: "We are very proud to be partnering with Oxford and look forward to publishing our first issue. Our new partnership will bring even more value to SAF members and subscribers to our science journals."

"We at SAF have many priorities with our journals to help them realize their maximum potential," said Jennifer Kuhn, SAF's Director of Publications. "These journals serve as important conduits for extending the Society's mission. With Oxford, we'll be able to go even further than ever before with communicating the important science we publish and promoting the field of forestry."

"We are greatly looking forward to a partnership with SAF," commented Alison Denby, publishing director for Oxford Journals. "It's a privilege to work with such an esteemed organization and to help Journal of Forestry and Forest Science grow into the future as top journals in the field."
